about us.
Our experience with drone technology dates back to 2013.

Our experience with drone technology dates back to 2013. Over the years, we have developed our understanding of unmanned aircraft, remote operations and the practical considerations involved in using drones to complete real-world tasks.
This experience informs our approach to heavy-lift operations, from assessing whether a project is suitable for aerial lifting to planning how a load can be moved safely and efficiently.
We combine practical experience with a considered, site-specific approach, recognising that every location, load and lifting challenge is different.
CAA SORA
We are currently obtaining our Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) approval. SORA is a risk-assessment framework used to evaluate the risks associated with specific drone operations and establish appropriate safety requirements and mitigations.
This operating scope and conditions determine which operations we can undertake. Proposed work is assessed against the relevant approval and operational limitations before proceeding.
Comprehensive insurance cover
We maintain insurance cover appropriate to our operations, providing clients with additional confidence when engaging us for specialist lifting work. Insurance arrangements and applicable limits can be discussed as part of the project planning process.

All Terrain Lifting operates throughout the UK, providing specialist heavy-lift drone services wherever difficult access, challenging terrain or sensitive ground conditions make conventional lifting methods impractical.
With a personal passion for climbing and mountaineering, we have a particular appreciation for the challenges of working in remote, rugged and hard-to-reach environments. From the open moorlands of Dartmoor to the mountainous landscapes of South Wales and North Wales, we are especially interested in projects that demand a different approach to lifting and material transport.
Our heavy-lift drone technology offers the potential to move equipment and materials into locations where access by vehicle, crane or other conventional machinery can be difficult, costly or disruptive.
By taking the lift into the air, we aim to help reduce the need for temporary access tracks, heavy ground equipment and unnecessary disturbance to the surrounding landscape.
Built for the places others struggle to reach
We welcome enquiries from contractors, land managers, utilities, conservation organisations and specialist teams working in remote or challenging locations across the UK.
Whether supporting infrastructure maintenance, upland land management, conservation projects or specialist construction, we take a practical, site-specific approach to identifying where aerial lifting can offer a genuine advantage.
Our experience working with drones since 2013, combined with our enthusiasm for the outdoors and our commitment to careful operational planning, makes remote and difficult-access work a particular focus for All Terrain Lifting.
