Experience You Can Rely On
Working with drones since 2013
Our experience with drone technology dates back to 2013. Over the years, we have developed our understanding of unmanned aircraft, remote operations and the practical considerations involved in using drones to complete real-world tasks.
This experience informs our approach to heavy-lift operations, from assessing whether a project is suitable for aerial lifting to planning how a load can be moved safely and efficiently.
We combine practical experience with a considered, site-specific approach, recognising that every location, load and lifting challenge is different.
A tailored solution for every lift
A professional approach to every operation
Every project begins with understanding what needs to be moved, where it needs to go and the challenges presented by the site. We assess the load, access constraints, operating environment and practical requirements to determine whether heavy-lift drone operations are the right solution.
We offer a range of packages to suit heavy-lift drone operations.
Below are a few examples.
Note: Flight counts and durations are indicative and subject to payload, site conditions, weather and operational constraints.
Simple deployment
- Heavy-lift drone.
- One person crew.
- Up to 3 flights, approx 30 minutes flight time.
Standard heavy-lift day
- Heavy-lift drone.
- Generator for on-site fast battery charging.
- One person crew.
- Up to 6 flights, approx 1 hour flight time.
Complex/ specialist deployment
- Heavy-lift drone.
- Generator for on-site fast battery charging.
- Multi-person crew.
- Two pilots, allowing more complex flights/locations.
- Continuous flights.
Planning, preparation and risk assessment
Safety and preparation are central to every operation. We consider the proposed flight area, obstacles, weather conditions, payload requirements, ground conditions and the presence of people or infrastructure.
We undertake appropriate operational planning and risk assessments, establishing suitable procedures and controls before work begins.
Precision aerial lifting
Once the operation has been planned and authorised, our heavy-lift drone is deployed to transport and position suitable loads at the required location. Remote operation allows us to access challenging areas while reducing the need to move people, vehicles and machinery across difficult or inaccessible terrain.
Each lift is undertaken within the applicable operational limitations, payload capacity and safety procedures.
Minimal ground disturbance
One of the key advantages of aerial lifting is the potential to reduce the ground footprint of an operation. Where conventional methods may require vehicle access, temporary tracks, hardstanding or extensive equipment positioning, a heavy-lift drone may offer a more direct alternative.
This can be particularly valuable in woodland, rural estates, conservation areas, steep terrain and other locations where protecting the ground is a priority.
Professional delivery from start to finish
We work with our clients to coordinate site access, operational requirements and the practical details of each lift. Our focus is on delivering a dependable, carefully planned service that addresses the challenges of the project while respecting its surroundings.
Safety, Insurance & Regulatory Compliance
Safety-led operations
Heavy-lift drone operations demand careful planning, appropriate risk management and a clear understanding of regulatory responsibilities. We take these requirements seriously and aim to give our clients confidence from the initial project discussion through to completion.
CAA SORA approval
We currently applying for our Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) approval. SORA is a risk-assessment framework used to evaluate the risks associated with specific drone operations and establish appropriate safety requirements and mitigations.
This operating scope and conditions determine which operations we can undertake. Proposed work is assessed against the relevant approval and operational limitations before proceeding.
Comprehensive insurance cover
We maintain insurance cover appropriate to our operations, providing clients with additional confidence when engaging us for specialist lifting work. Insurance arrangements and applicable limits can be discussed as part of the project planning process.
Risk management and operational planning
We assess each proposed operation individually, considering the load, flight path, site conditions, weather, surrounding environment and potential hazards. Appropriate control measures and operating procedures are established to support safe and controlled delivery.
Working within defined limits
We only undertake operations that are suitable for our equipment, personnel, insurance arrangements and applicable regulatory permissions. If a proposed lift falls outside our approved operating scope or safe operating limits, alternative arrangements or additional authorisation may be required.
